Arguably the best thing about this whole blog is Weenie Wednesday, starring none other than my noble rescue pup, Conrad.
Conrad is presumed dachshund, although in between the breed standard weight classes. I found him based on a one very heartbreaking picture of him looking like a malnourished alien at a local shelter. I had been looking at large breeds, but his picture I could not ignore.
He was basically skin and bones, estimated to be a year old, when I took him home in January 2011, but has since filled out to the robust, majestic, commanding beast that he is today. He’s like a little person — a little snuggly dictator who I serve as his personal assistant.
He is featured regularly on this blog on Weenie Wednesdays. I give him bacon freeze dried venison or bison liver often because he is perfect.
