Three Years and Change

I have officially owned Eli for 3 years today! Although, I think he thought I owned him well before that. I’m so happy he convinced me to buy him.

He is truly a different horse from when I first rode him. The biggest change, obviously, was finding an issue with and then fixing his sinus–his reactiveness dropped significantly after that. Another minor change, but significant to me anyway, is that I can ask for a lead change and he might even swap before the corner. Never thought we’d get to this point! He puts his own dramatic twist on it every time, though.

Nothing is certain with horses, so I see every day that I get to ride him as an exceptional privilege and I look forward to whatever our future may hold.
