Right Lead

Working with Eli at the canter has been a long, slow, interesting, sometimes slightly dangerous, but mostly very enjoyable process. So here’s where we’re at with our right lead (the tougher one to work on):

Plenty to work on, but it is a significant change from the very strung-out, downhill canter I merely perched on for months and months. I am so thankful this horse found me, because I am never bored.

Show tomorrow! Also cold front tomorrow! My goal before I knew about the cold front was going to be “shoulders back, close your leg” but now it’s more like “try not to die.” Now why didn’t I think to get a bonnet with wind/sound-proofed ears … ?
