Weenie Wednesday: Shelter

I’ve posted about this before, but I like looking back periodically to see how rewarding it is to make a difference in a shelter dog’s life. I adopted Conrad in January 2011, and this is what he looked like around that time:

stickfigureHe weighed a little over 9 lbs, estimated to be a year old. He had been found wandering the streets of Pflugerville, and spent about a month with fosters, and then, while I was looking at large breeds, I saw his picture on a shelter’s website and paid his adoption fee over the phone immediately.

This is how he looks now, after over five years:

  1. Bonus – he has the best warddrobe out of any shelter dog I’ve ever known… and this is coming from someone who had multiple outfits custom made for her rescued Boston Terrier šŸ˜‰
