This is ridiculous!

The show got rained out AGAIN. It won’t be rescheduled, because the end-of-the-year show for the local circuit association is also this month. So instead of writing about show prep, you get picture spam of me walking my animals. Luckily, the fields should be rideable today and I’m leaving work early!

My dog is a Longhorn fan. Or perhaps just a sweatshirt fan when it’s chilly? It was 60 degrees F yesterday when I decided it was time to break out the Sorels.

SQUIRREL!
SQUIRREL!

Conrad would love it if I would let him off-leash to chase squirrels and rabbits, but I don’t think I’d ever find him.

Mud flanked the drive that goes to the barn, so I just walked Eli up and down the road, and then inside the barn. Hand-walking him is not so bad, compared to some other horses I’ve hand-walked. As long as I have cookies, he’s a total pet about it. Gotta love a treat-motivated pon-pon!

Fortunately, the Weatherbeeta sheet Eli inherited is holding up to his attempts at destroying it. And it’s just cotton canvas. Maybe he likes the material? He doesn’t seem quite so angry about being blanketed this year when compared to last year. He still periodically kicks at the leg straps, but I’m not taking them off.

TGIF!!!!!!!
